Okja

The family-owned, multinational conglomerate, Mirando Corporation, transports the mysterious South Korean sea creature to New York City. The image-obsessed CEO has big plans for the sea creature and decides to bring it to America. Mija is determined to rescue Okja and prevent its demise. The first episode of Okja Netflix is set in South Korea, where the titular sea creature was last seen in 2011.

Mija (Natalie Portman) is an idealistic, ambitious young woman who lives in the Korean countryside. In a dreamy forest, she befriends her grandfather’s super-pig, Okja. But when he accidentally kills Okja while she’s protecting her grandfather, the gang is outraged. After releasing Okja, the gang is captured by the ruthless social media thugs led by Johnny (Paul Dano).
